I had coffee with a close friend the other day. He was experiencing being enveloped by commitments and obligations. He was overwhelmed, stressed and scared.
I asked him what he does that creates a sense of emotional balance.
He was blank, but then recalled one thing he does each morning.
Perfect! Good start. It’s essential to develop the list; and there has to be a collection of things on the list that don’t require anyone or anything. And then they have to be set in a calendared every day. If they aren’t calendared, they won’t get done… and then we’re out of whack, pissed off, exhausted or sad and then we “bleed” that all around us and expect someone to save us.
